Pasco County Emergency Management reported that strong wind gusts destroyed one mobile home and caused minor damage to 38 others in Dade City. The destroyed home had the roof ripped off. The minor damage included roof damage, car ports and screened enclosures damaged or removed, and pieces of siding peeled back. Debris was scattered in a uniform damage, indicating straight line wind damage.
National Weather Service damage survey concluded that straight-line thunderstorm winds, estimated between 60 and 65 mph, downed over 100 large trees, several branches, numerous power lines and caused minor roof and lanai damage along a one half mile long by two mile wide area over western Pasco county. The western boundary of the damage was near the intersection of Starkey and Oak Loop Roads while the eastern boundary was near the intersection of County Road 587 and DeCubellis Road, approximately seven miles east of Port Richey.Most of the downed trees occurred along DeCubellis Road near the intersection of River Ridge Boulevard near the River Ridge Golf Course east of Port Richey in western Pasco county.
National Weather Service damage survey indicated that thunderstorm winds caused a sporadic path of damage from downtown Hudson to three miles northeast of Hudson. The straight-line thunderstorm winds damaged vehicles, signs and building awnings at an automobile dealership on U.S. Highway 19 near Hudson Avenue in Hudson. Also, thunderstorm winds downed trees, branches and power lines on Kitten Trail, three miles northeast of Hudson.
