Numerous trees and powerlines were reported down across the Orange Park area due to a downburst that began near Asbury Lake. Multiple trees fell on homes destroying the roofs along Rusmor St, Debarry Ave and Warren Ct. A tree fell on a car in Orange Park damaging the vehicle. Time was estimated by radar. AWOS station KNIP Jacksonville Nas measured a gust of 61 mph at 157 PM EST.
A downburst wind caused significant tree damage in the southwest section of Keystone Heights, just northwest of Lake Geneva. Damage began near Southeast 42nd Street where large, healthy trees were uprooted and some snapped. A fallen tree damaged a car, and winds lifted and displaced a trampoline 30 feet over a fence. Sporadic tree tops were twisted while others that were still standing indicated a divergent wind pattern. The damage decreased toward the edge of Lake Geneva. The exact cost of tree removal and structural damage was unknown, but the value was estimated.
A metal roof was blown off of a structure and a tree fell on a car. To light poles were blown down and a power line was blown down. The time of damage was based on radar. The cost of damage was unknown but estimated for the event to be included in Storm Data.
