A severe thunderstorm produced very large hail from the Beulah area to the Colorado City area. Damage was done to vehicles and buildings, including a bank in Colorado City. Its roof collapsed from the weight of hail and rain which collected on the flat roof.
Thunderstorms moving through the city of Pueblo dropped as much as 4.50 inches of rain along with 3/4 inch hail. City streets, highways, and underpasses were flooded and closed for a time. Several large trees were downed by thunderstorm winds of unknown speeds. A section of the Pueblo Mall collapsed injuring one person. Damage at the mall was estimated at $350,000. Damage to the library where windows were broke, was estimated at $30,000 to $50,000. Total property damage in Pueblo was estimated to be near $1 million. ,,,,,,,,Flash Flooding Hail upto three quarter inch fell in the west Pueblo area. A few cars were partially submerged at a flooded underpass when 1.31 inches of rain fell over a portion of Pueblo. A few basements were flooded out as well.
