Isolated severe thunderstorms developed in extreme northwest Arkansas during the afternoon of August 14th and produced golfball size hail 3 miles north of Metalton, nickel size hail at Clifty, and dime size hail at Rudd.
Severe thunderstorms moved across northwest Arkansas during the late afternoon and evening of June 5th. Strong thunderstorm winds downed trees and power lines in Van Buren, and strong winds in Fort Smith blew the roof off a warehouse. Sixty mph winds blew down large tree limbs in Mulberry, in Alma, and in Mountainburg. Quarter-size hail fell two miles south of Siloam Springs, and dime- to nickel-size hail fell at Siloam Springs. Dime-size hail also fell at Green Forest. Very heavy rainfall from the thunderstorms flooded numerous county roads in eastern Carroll County, and U.S. Highway 62 was closed east of Green Forest due to flooding.
Severe thunderstorms developed in northwest Arkansas during the late morning of June 2nd. Strong thunderstorm winds downed large tree limbs three miles northeast of Clifty, and dime-size hail fell at Fort Smith, three miles northeast of Clifty, and at Green Forest.
