Heavy rain over the Polacca Wash basin caused a rise of 1.61 feet between 300 AM MST (4 AM MDT) and 325 AM MST (325 AM MDT) at the river gauge (POLA3) near Second Mesa. The maximum gauge reading was 7.42 feet. By 1030 AM MST, the water had receded to a level of 6.91. The gauge is normally dry with a baseline reading of 5.81 feet.
Heavy rain fell across Navajo Gila County. Some of the rainfall amounts (in inches) include: 15 miles south of Heber 2.32, Navajo National Monument 1.61, Show Low Airport 0,84, Winslow 0.84, and Petrified Forest National Park 0.34.
