Numerous roads throughout Cullman County were flooded. Radar and newspaper estimates that three to four inches of rain fell in a short period of time, on already saturated ground. One section of CR 310 near Guthery's Crossroads was washed away. Several motorists were stranded in vehicles due to the high water.
Seventeen county and state roads were temporarily closed due to high water. Radar estimated that two to four inches of rain fell in a short period of time. One bridge was washed out just northeast of Cullman. A few trees fell down because of the saturated ground conditions.
Flash flooding occurred due to the very heavy rainfall that moved across the area associated with the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee. The Crane Hill park was several inches under water due to the flash flooding that occurred.
