Supercell 3 continued on its east southeast motion and moved across a large part of Autauga County. A large swath of golf ball size hail occurred and affected locations including Jones, Autaugaville, Booth, Independence, and Prattville. The largest hail observed was softball size. Significant hail damage occurred. Numerous automobiles and homes were damaged by the hail.
Two thunderstorms merged over Prattville. The merger strengthened the thunderstorms and produced hail up to golf ball size in and around Prattville. A few homes sustained roof damage and several automobiles also suffered hail damage.
