Heavy rain, ranging from 6 to 10 inches through the entire storm event, caused widespread flooding, including the entire drainage system of South Boulder, Big Dry and Walnut Creeks. Due to extensive flooding, the Spruce Meadows section of the Broomfield Trail was closed due to significant collapses of the embankment between the trail and the adjacent irrigation ditch.
