An NWS storm survey found a microburst hit Salem with maximum winds estimated at 85 MPH with maximum width about 200 yards. A roof was ripped off a gas station with minor damage to a supermarket. A truck was overturned and a car was pushed on top of another. Numerous trees and power lines were knocked down with several large signs damaged.
Emergency management reported Sandy Creek was flowing over roads and bridges near East Rochester. Flash flooding was also along Teegarden Road in Salem Township. A bridge was washed out on a county road in Elkrun Township.
A downburst caused straight line wind damage near Lisbon with numerous tress snapped and uprooted, with a metal roof covering blown off a home. Maximum wind speeds were estimated at 80 MPH, with sporadic damage from lesser winds along a 3 mile long path.
