Saint Mary Visitor Center parking lot was flooded and Saint Mary bridge was closed. Rising Sun Campground was flooded. A few landslides and debris flows have been reported with flooding reported on Belly River and Dry Creek near Trout Lake.
Flooding occurred over North Central Montana on June 10th. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain fell over the plains during the morning and early afternoon hours resulting in many rivers rising to bank full along with urban street flooding. The water began to recede below bank full early on the 11th.
Badger Creek began to rise above flood stage on June 6th, due to snow melt over the Rockies. A strong storm then moved over the area on June 10th. This storm brought between 4 and 6 inches of rain to the plains, and 3 to 6 feet of snow in the mountains. Badger Creek remained out of its bank until June 30th. The river crested at 8.8 feet on June 18th.
