Heavy rain result in flash flooding across Tate County. Highway 3 was closed just north of the intersection with Highway 4. Six homes were affected and eight people were displaced. Nineteen roads were closed and there was damage to the county courthouse and administration building.
Straight line winds caused widespread damage across parts of Tate County especially Senatobia. Trees and power lines were knocked down in the city. Hundreds of homes had mainly shingle damage. Several mobile homes and businesses had major damage. A few agricultural buildings also had major damage. A car was blown off the roadway along Interstate 55 at Yellow Dog Road resulting in two injuries.
A tornado tracked northeast from Panola County and caused roof damage at four homes near Hammond Hill Road. A two story home received damage when a covered porch was lifted and deposited on to the roof of the garage. Peak winds were estimated at 100 mph.
