What the reports say
Written by National Weather Service staff at the time of the event · public domain
For the third morning in a row, a severe thunderstorm complex moved into northeast Minnesota. These storms produced outflow boundaries which continued east into northwest Wisconsin where they met very moist, unstable air. The result was a series of afternoon thunderstorms that produced mainly large hail, although winds were strong enough to topple ten-inch diameter trees. The hail caused some vehicle damage.
The hail broke at least one windshield. Strong winds also toppled trees and blew down power lines across the county. Price County 8 NE Phillips,14,1820CST,,,0,0,0,0,Hail (1.75) 7 E Fifield,14,1820CST,,,0,0,0,0,Thunderstorm Winds Ten-inch diameter trees were blown down.
