Powerful downburst thundestorm winds gusting to around 65 knots (75 mph) toppled hundreds of large trees in a forested area. Several power-lines came down with tree debris. One large tree fell onto a vehicle. Two small sheds were destroyed by the winds, and one home sustained window damage.
Law enforcement officials reported damage from severe thunderstorm wind gusts estimated at 70 knots (80 mph) in a 5-mile wide swath from southeast of Dodgeville to northeast of Hollandale. The damaging winds destroyed a cattle shed and caused minor damage to a barn. The winds damaged several corn fields on East Lawinger Road southeast of Dodgeville. A grain bin was knocked off its foundation and destroyed, and a corn field was flattened northeast of Hollandale. Numerous trees and power lines were knocked down by the powerful winds.
A swath of scattered tree damage including snapped trees. Multiple large and empty grain bins were heavily damaged at one location. One of the large poles associated with the grain bins fell onto a small car. At a different location a small portion of a roof was removed from a farm building.
