Three-quarter-inch hail was reported, and several trees and power lines were knocked down in Martinsburg. Thunderstorm winds, as high as 70 mph, blew down trees and power lines, and knocked the skirting from several mobile homes in Baker Heights. Another home six miles south of Martinsburg sustained $25 thousand in damage. Potomac Edison reported 3000 customers without power during the peak of the storm.
