A thunderstorm moved northeast, through Volga, Indian Fork, Spaw Lick, Cherry Hill, Philippi, Hacker Creek, and Adaland. A house near Volga was damaged by a fallen tree. Fallen trees blocked roads. Some trees along Cherry Hill Road were snapped off at mid trunk.
A recreational vehicle was flipped over and destroyed in the Century No. 2 vicinity. Trees were snapped. An auto shop was damaged. Its back wall was blown out. Sections of an old metal roof were peeled off. Two cars has minor damage from fallen debris.
Wind gusts estimated around 45 mph caused some tall evergreen trees to be uprooted in a small section of Belington. One of those trees damaged a roof. Also, the roof to a pavilion at the elementary school was blown down.
