The stream gauge on Accotink Creek at Woodburn Road reached minor flood stage with a crest of 251.8 feet. At 251.5 feet, Woodburn road is covered by approximately six inches of water at it's lowest point. Portions of the Cross County Trail are also flooded.
The stream gage on Difficult Run near Wolf Trap reached flood stage briefly on the night of May 22nd, reaching a crest of 195.05 ft. This just surpasses flood stage, and at this level 6 inches of water covered Browns Mill Rd. at its lowest point as it crosses Difficult Run.
The stream gage on Accotink Creek at Woodburn Rd./Strathmeade Springs rose above flood stage between the specified timeframe, reaching a crest of 252.34 ft at 3:20 AM EST. At this elevation, Woodburn Road is covered by approximately six inches of water at its lowest point. Portions of the Cross County Trail are also flooded. This is also very close to flooding Prosperity Ave. at its lowest point.
