At least fifteen trees were blown down across portions of Buckingham County as very heavy rainfall associated with thunderstorms which developed in one of the feeder bands of Tropical Storm Michael allowed strong winds aloft to mix down to the surface.
In a small area south of New Canton, thunderstorm winds blew trees and tree limbs down. There were considerable limbs blown down along Old Highway 15 between Morgan's Hill Road and Jones Town Road. A total of six trees were blown down at a residence on Lake Tahoe Lane, and one tree fell along Ole Selph Lane. Damage values are estimated.
Thunderstorm winds blew two trees down. One of the trees was located near the intersection of Jerusalem Church Road and Manteo Road. The other tree was located near the intersection of Manteo Road and Pattie Road. Damage values are estimated.
